Race Number Collection
All race numbers will need to be collected on the day from our Race Number Tent, open from 8am

Entrant drop-off and collection
Near to the start a secure area, managed by DBS cleared marshals, will be in place.

All runners must:
  • Be dropped off at this location by a responsible adult.
  • Ensure that before entering this area that the information on the back of the runners race number has been completed
  • Make sure the responsible adult removes and keeps the tag attached to the bottom of the runners race number. This will be used after the race to ensure runners are reunited with their appropriate adult
  • Remain within this area until the race starts and once they have finished the race
  • Remain on the course at all times during the race, only entering and leaving the course via the secure start area
  • Be collected after the race by the adult who must present their matching tag to a marshal before the runner will be released into their care
In case of lost tags, the marshal will use the phone number on the runners race number to contact the emergency contact to ensure the person collecting the runner is verified. If in doubt, the marshal will also contact the race director for escalation and resolution.

Race Route
The 1 mile course is a majority of grass with some tarmac, dirt paths.
Unless it has been raining a lot in the weeks leading up to the race expect a solid path that will suit road shoes or regular trainers. Please do not wear spikes or studded shoes. These will not be safe on the tarmac and of little/no effect on other parts of the course
There will be signage and marshals posted at regular intervals around the entire course. Runners will be within sight of at least one marshal at all times.
Runners will return back the way they came when passing the bottom on Hanwell Zoo. It is important that runners keep to the side of the path indicated by marshals to allow runners travelling the opposite way to pass safely

Deferrals, Withdrawals and Cancellations
Race transfers are not permitted for safety reasons
We cannot offer refunds or deferrals of entries
If we are forced to cancel the event, which we reserve the right to do so for any reason, we will offer all junior runners a full refund.
